The winter months begin in the month of August and lasts for next six months. These six months are known for the carefreeness of human activities as people are full fun and adventure these days. They take new flights in different ventures and forget their self. The countless parties and other fun activities do not allow you to look after your body well especially your hair. This affects the hair very badly and you may get harmful locks in them.
According to Mark Hayes, a specialist of the Hair Care and UK Creative Director of Vidal Sassoon, the hair can get damaged in any type of extreme climate but in winter specially, your hair can get badly affected by both central heating and cold outdoor. Both these weather conditions can robe the moisture off your hair and leaves them dry and full of static.
Mark Hayes says that it is easy to blame cold or the other weather atrocities, but it is always advisable to take preventive measures to provide life to your hair. So give the idea of waiting for the weather to get passed, you should take initiative in the form of a good cut and color before the winter season starts at the full swing. You can also apply a moisturizer in the mid-length and at the ends of the hair to prevent your hair getting dry at times.
Following the advice of Mark Hayes you can apply a heavier and richer moisturizer once a week. After applying the moisturizer, you should wrap your hair with a towel for sometime. This will help you keep your hair moist for sometime. This treatment will give you replenish dry hair. As far as roots of the hair are concerned, they will be kept moist by the oily glands of the scalp.
The hat is a wonderful and very effective fashion accessory during the winter days but you avoid putting on a hat continuously as it can lead to overworked sebaceous glands, resulting in limp, greasy locks in your hair. Jan Przemyk, Academy Director of Tony and Guy salons advices all who want to keep their hair glowing to make sure that their hats fit to their heads perfectly.
