The kitchen contains this wonder drug Garlic but we are seldom aware of its vast uses. This is used as an antibiotic, as a medicine for the prevention of cancer, and also for controlling diabetes and hypertension. This helps in the management of cholesterol by thinning the blood. According to the modern researchers, garlic is very effective against Leprosy, Staphylococcus Aureus, Herpes Simplex, Influenza B, Tuberculosis, Cryptococcus, Histoplasma, Candida. This is a mosquito, tick and flea repellent and garlic protects against diseases caused by them.
Garlic helps to reduce blood pressure quite significantly. It also reduces triglycerides, blood sugar and also controls bronchitis and asthma. This also helps in poisoning from heavy metals, and detoxification. Garlic also helps to protect against breast cancer and colon cancer.
How can garlic be administered? It is very easy to take in the raw cloves. But garlic has a reeking smell that exudes from body pores and therefore women would not like to administer it. There have been researches to keep the odor away and in Japan a process of cold pressing is done and the dried garlic can be used after 20 months. The product is known as Kwai in tablet form and there is also Ajoene in liquid form. These products are completely odorless and they contain selenium which is a key nutrient.
Furthermore, garlic can also be used as in garlic paste, garlic spread, garlic syrup, garlic compress and garlic plaster. The humble garlic is a wonderful kitchen condiment as well as a very strong healing herb. Women should increase the use of garlic in cooking for it really helps in a series of diseases and helps to keep us healthy.
