The concept of steam baths is not new and unknown. The steam baths are very common parts of services provided at a gym, health centre or a health spa. As a woman of the modern age you must have a very good idea of the steam baths. This article will give you the basic and all the required information about steam baths. You may get many benefits of steam baths.

Immunity
Steam bath is very good for increasing the immunity in your body. As the process allows, an artificial temperature is induced in your body. Due to this the actual temperature of your body rises high. This rise in the body temperature kills the harmful bacteria and viruses. As a result the immunity system gets more effect and vigor to fight the diseases. By this treatment, you can protect yourself from flu and pneumonia.

Cancer
By raising the temperature of your body to 106 to 110 degrees, you can destroy the malignant cells that are the chief carriers of cancer germs. It increases the making of antibodies and interferon that also fights the cancer germs more effectively.

Toxins
By means of steam bath and sauna bath, you can remove the toxins from your body that accumulates during different life processes. The steam bath also works as a very good and powerful perspiration inducer. It increases perspiration in your body with which a good quantity of waste products, including toxins, come out of your body. If you take steam bath after a massage, you will ore effective results for your body.

Relaxation
Steam bath releases the tiredness from your body by making the tissues relaxed. As steam penetrates through your body, you get soothing effect of the steam and you feel more relaxed after a steam bath.

Blood circulation
By increasing the temperature of your body, the steam increases the blood circulation in your body. It also increases the pulse rate which is good for your cardiovascular functions. Your circulatory system functions more smoothly to carry the nutrients throughout your body easily and comfortably.

Who is fit for steam bath?

A person who has a cardiovascular trouble should avoid taking steam bath. It is not suitable for them as it increases the cardiovascular activities artificially which they might not be able to bear naturally. Small children and those who are suffering from fever should not take steam bath.

The process of taking steam bath:

-Do not take steam bath continuously for more than 15 minutes. You can stay in the steam as long as you feel comfortable.
-Drink plenty of water before taking the steam bath as it is very dehydrating. It is good to take lemon water before taking the bath.
-Stay under a shower for sometime before taking the steam bath. Get yourself to the room temperature and then enter the steam chamber.
