Immunity is the ability of our body to fight with external elements which can attack our body and cause various diseases. The stronger immunity we have, the better will be our ability to ward of disease causing viruses and bacteria.
The strength of our immunity depends on our lifestyle and diet. If we don’t take care of our health and body, then our immunity becomes weak. Unhealthy eating habits, smoking and alcohol reduce our body’s immunity and make it prone to various diseases.
In order to boost your immunity, you should include some good immunity boosting food items in your diet. One such great item is Green tea which is known for its various benefits. Green tea has antioxidants called EGCG which stops the growth of harmful bacteria like Salmonella, Clostridium and E.Coli. Drink at least three to four cups of Green tea every day to boost your immunity.

Tomatoes are also great for boosting immunity as it has a natural substance called Lycopene that helps in fighting degenerative disease. Cooked tomatoes are always better than raw ones as cooking increases the effects of lycopene. So, have at least 12 to 20 ounces of tomato soup or juice every day.
