How to Get Rid of Pimple Blemishes
CLEAN!
To keep your face clean, use a gentle cleanser that’s fragrance and oil-free. It is better to use a nondetergent as well as pH balanced cleanser. A cleanser containing salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide is ideal for oily skin. If you have irritations on the skin, do not scrub it as it may lead to breakouts. If your skin is not too oily, don’t use toner as it may cause dryness of your skin.
TREAT!
Dab some relevant acne treatment that contains glycolic acid, benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid all over your face, not just on the areas where blemishes have popped up. At night, it is advisable to use some moisturizer having a non-oily base or spot-treatment products having a drying effect. Apply generous amounts of a sunscreen gel that’s oil-free on your whole face.
CONCEAL!
To apply some cream foundation or concealer on your blemish, it is better to make use of a small makeup brush. Use your fingertip to clean any excess amount of concealer that is still around the blemish. You may apply one more coat of concealer if you find that’s needed. If you find that your makeup has become cakey, wash it off cautiously and begin the entire process once again. As a final step, put some powder on your concealer using a gentle brush.
Tricks Of The Trade:
* For those having an oily skin, a toner should be applied only on the T-zone. It is better to wash it off later. To get rid of the excess oil, it’s better to use a clay mask every three days.
* You can ask your doctor to administer a cortisone injection during an emergency situation (like a marriage ceremony or an important job interview). A cortisone injection would calm the pimple almost immediately.
* In the event of not being able to contact your dermatologist, you can use a small amount of Preparation H, cortisone cream, or Vasocon-A eyedrops to treat the swelling and redness of the pimple.
