Pregnant women, especially those in the early days of pregnancy often nit pick on the food items. This is due to the nausea that is there in them in the first few months, especially. Yet, the food they take should not lose out on the nourishment value as it is crucial for the growth of the baby inside the mother’s womb. However, women always worry on what food they should take as the slightest aroma of food may cause them to throw up. Here is a nourishing salad which is called the Greek Salad that can be given to them. This helps in nourishing the would-be moms as well as keeps them fit and healthy.

Here is how we can make such a nourishing and palatable salad.

One small lettuce that has been sliced, with tomatoes cut into eight pieces, a cucumber, chopped and seeded, two hundred grams of feta cheese that is chopped and spring onions, along with half a cup of black olives that is halved are the main ingredients. You may add a half tablespoonful of lemon juice, black pepper that is grounded and some six tablespoonful of olive oil topped with a dash of love.

This is meant for a salad of six people and therefore a portion would contain 215k calories, Fat 19.1 gms, Protein 6.6 gms, carbohydrate 4.3 gms, calcium 148 mg, fiber 1.8 gms. Therefore, this is a balanced diet for the would-be mom, the new mom and also fit people who love salads anyway.

Serve it with some mint leaves or if the smell of mint is disturbing for pregnant women, garnish it with some pepper and salt, plain. This is also a wonderfully palatable dish for any fussy eater or a convalescent. And the best part is, you can prepare it in minutes if the ingredients are available right at hand.
