How to Prevent Bad Breath
No matter how much we work on our appearance and try to look good; if our breath is not fresh, then we will end up failing in our mission. We can wear all kinds of branded clothes and accessories and try to look like a star; bad breath may and will ruin our entire effort.
Most people associate bad breath with only bad dental hygiene. But there are many other reasons for this problem also. We can get bad breath due to some kinds of digestive problems. A weak liver and some kinds of medications may also be the cause of unpleasant breath.
But no matter what are the reasons behind your bad breath, you can always prevent it by taking some easy steps. The first and foremost way to prevent bad breath is by keeping your mouth as clean as possible. Make sure that you brush your teeth thoroughly at least twice a day.
In some severe case, brushing after every meal is recommended. Also, don’t forget to floss and gargle with a strong mouth wash to wash-out the residues of food in your mouth. Most people don’t put much emphasis on cleaning their tongue while brushing. This is very wrong as our tongue is the breeding ground of bacteria responsible for bad breath. Always clean your tongue with a special tongue-cleaner after brushing your teeth.
You must also increase the amount of green vegetables in your diet as they have plant pigments which help in keeping our breath fresh. Limit the consumption of red meat, coffee, tea and overly spicy food as they aggravate growth of bad breath creating bacteria. Try to avoid food that have excessive amount of Garlic and Onions as their natural aroma causes extremely bad breath. In order to curtail bad breath, you can chew natural mouth fresheners like cardamom, mint leaves, fennel etc.
