How to Stay Absolutely Fit
June 30, 2009
The oldest biblical and biological trait of life on earth is “survival of the fittest”. The definition of the fittest, though have changed and modified a lot in the thousand years of evolution.
Positive effects of Fitness
We may have forgotten the importance and positive effect of the biological fitness in our life, to the socio-economical fitness. But, nevertheless, we must admit that a fit society with a fit economy can only be built and maintained by fit individuals.
Staying fit, is what differentiates between, living to well being. After all we all aim for a quality life. Again, this can is achievable by a good health. The good health however is a result of fitness, which motivates us to live it to full.
Now, if we are seriously thinking to make these changes in our lives, we need to focus on some factors.
Smoking
Rather no-smoking is the motto. Ironically though, one main reason of smokers denying quitting, and unfortunately, the logic why it is habituated by many is supposed to be the effect it has on “gain in body-weight or loss of the same. Yes, it is a fact that smoking has long been linked to increased metabolism –“it’s a drug!” But it’s harmful as well, addictive, toxic and no doubt the small effect on metabolism is anytime overshadowed by the ill-effect of chances resulting in lung-cancer.
Water Intake
Our body requires water. Survival without food is still possible, for a three weeks period, but surviving without fluid intake is impossible for more than three days. After all, almost 70 percent of our body is fluid mass. We are unable to function properly without water. We dehydrate, get tired, and tend to nauseate.
Food Consumption in variety
We need to consume our much-required vitamins and minerals from various sources. Intake of food in a variety improves the chances of consuming several nutrients in a proper balanced way. One should focus on consuming enough fruits and vegetables, rich in fiber.
Relaxation
This is a great practice in controlling the blood pressure and reduction in reaction towards stress.
