How Vastushastra Works in Wellness
Vastushastra is an ancient Indian science and it has been long practiced by the Indians. It is mainly formulated keeping in mind the natural direction of the energy flow and the benefits that can be obtained by not restricting the energy flow by unsuitable constructions. The vastu specialists claim that in ancient India there were large families and the people used to be happy, contended and peaceful as most of the thatched houses at that time were constructed on the basis of vastu. But now a days due to severe shortage of spaces this science has been discontinued leading to numerous problems.
However still today many promoters emphasise on the vastu and construct flats and complexes based on vastu. Direction plays an important role in Vastu. The magnetic energy flows from the North towards the South and is very powerful. So the southward portion of every building should be higher than the north side. The Directions of Energy Flow and the 5 Elements:
Earth: The land the greenery and the availability of the water bodies are some of the main things to be emphasized before buying the plot. Places with neem trees are not suitable for construction of house.
Water: The direction for water is north east. So all the sewer, drainage pipes and swimming pools should be constructed in that direction.
Air: The direction of air is also north east and so all the windows and ventilation should be constructed in the direction.
Fire: The direction of fire is south east and alternatively the kitchens can also be constructed at north west 180 degrees at south east.
Sky: The direction of the sky is the north and the Vastu urges to have at least a small courtyard in the house. This affects our mind and body directly. Particularly low roofed houses are not at all recommended by Vastu.
