Is your child dyslexic?
A child’s failure in class and in studies generally thought to be a result of his/her lack of concentration. If the child is not progress is very poor we even think his/her mental growth is not proper, hence s/he is a psychological patient or mentally retarded. But we never thought of dyslexia until the famous film ‘Taare Zameen Par’ had drawn our attention to it. Here are some symptoms of dyslexia:
• Dyslexic children have problem in learning. They confuse the letter ‘b’ with ‘d’ or ‘p’ with ‘q’.
• They also face problems while playing games or writing. The neurological set up of these children creates problem for language acquisition.
• The children are generally nervous, frightened, and anxious but they often become very aggressive.
At the early child hood they become very slow in learning. But they generally become a good speaker which makes their parents unable to understand the problem properly.
In fact dyslexic child has immense potentiality within him/her but those potentialities do not find a way to come out. There is no relation between Dyslexia and the child’s intelligence. Head injury at the time of birth or some medicine may cause dyslexia. The structure of a dyslexic brain is different from a structure of a non-dyslexic one. A dyslexic child needs proper counseling and care.
Taking care of the teeth is very necessary from infancy itself. When the teeth of the child is just coming you can use a piece of wet cotton to clean the teeth up. As your child grows teach him/her the dental hygiene. Let’s make the brushing process enjoyable by providing your child brush of his/her choice and give him a playing dental kit or books about teeth to for more awareness. You can also add fun to the brushing routine by playing music. Make sure the routine is followed regularly otherwise your child’s teeth would be subjected to fatal problems.
