Today we have become very sensitive about our body and health. We usually talk about problems like overweight and obesity and try to find out ways to get rid of these problems. Due to our increasing focus towards these problems, we have virtually forgotten our teeth which are also very important part of our body. We can enjoy our food if don’t have strong and healthy teeth. Do you know the healthy teeth also depend on healthy diet? Let’s find out what diet is the diet required for healthy teeth.

We follow different food habits in our everyday life which varies from man-to-man and from-time-to-time. The carbonated drinks, vinegar and some other roasted food stuff damage our teeth very severely. These foods are highly acidic in nature due to which a sort of erosion takes place in our teeth which is very harmful.

Medically we call it ‘Acid Erosion’. When this acid comes into contact with our teeth, the hard enamel surface of our tooth gets softened. As we brush our teeth everyday, the enamel gets worn-out and the teeth become weaker. The most important thing about this natural process is that it cannot be reversed. Keep a closer look at your teeth and try to observe whether:

• Your teeth are looking yellowish or not?
• Your teeth are having a glassy appearance around their edges or not?
• Small dents have grown there or not?
• Your teeth are growing sensitive towards hot, cold or sweet or not?
If you find any of those symptoms, consult your doctor immediately.

Tips for Healthy teeth:

• Try to avoid carbonating drinks and acidic foods as much as possible.
• Use straw to drink carbonated drinks, if necessary, and deliver the drink closer to your throat. This is helpful to minimize the contact of the drinks with your teeth.
• Brush your teeth at least twice a day. If you brush after having your meal, you must spend sometime after the intake of food.
• Use a good quality of toothpaste like Sensodyne Pronamel which has a low abrasion.

Protect your teeth with Sensodyne Pronamel

Sensodyne Pronamel is specially developed toothpaste which takes care of your teeth better and saves them from the ill-effects of acid erosion. Unlike other toothpastes, this one is formulated to take care of your sensitive teeth.
