Did you know that your sudden lapses in memory and your enhanced wrinkles have their reasons elsewhere? There is a new cause of sudden aging that has suddenly come up. The most modern cooking methods like microwaving, frying, grilling are the common methods of cooking. The ways that we use in preparing our foods like potatochips, hot dogs and lunch meats create the compounds like AGEs and the end products of glycation. With the high amounts of AGEs, even if you are very young, the molecular products, lead you on to chronic disease that would have occurred to you when you were much advanced in age. Cut the consumption of AGE and you would be much younger. This would save your blood vessels, your skin, your memory and eyesight.

AGEs  takes time to reach the headlines but they have been around since the Neanderthals have been there and since they discovered fire to roast wild boars for food. AGEs forms when high heat breaks down sugar and fat into molecules of protein and shrivel them up into black or brown. When you look at the marks of sear on steak, coating on chicken or the golden crust on any bread, that is AGEs.

AGEs work by going down the gullet along with the food and they attack the cells that have been keeping you healthy. The defective proteins get attached to immune cells and these become inflamed and just because of the inflammation, diseases like heart disease, diabetes and Alzheimer’s occur. AGEs goes forward in creating free radicals, and the molecules that cause destruction and travel up the body thus damaging the cells. This leads to serious problems like signs of aging, crow’s feet and even cancer. The AGEs hit innocent cells that lie in their path. This happens all the more because our paletes have shifted from the farm fresh foods to the grilled oven baked high sugar and fatty junk foods preferences.
