Meditation
We all know that meditation works well when we need to relax or try to focus our mind etc. But most people avoid it because it is too difficult, dull and boring and we have the general feeling that “it’s not my cup of tea”. But if you want a healthy lifestyle and want to be smarter and more likable, then you should learn to focus your brain and concentrate more on whatever you do. We normally lose our attention 6 to 8 times per minute. In order to control this you must learn how to drive your brain yourself. Research has shown that the human brain is the most complex object in the universe. So, driving your brain is not a cakewalk.
Only meditation can help you to do so. But chill, it is not such a hard thing to do after all. Here we would give you some ideas as to how you can practice this sport daily as part of your normal routine.
* When you are standing in a queue, try to fix the focus on your breath. Count 3 and inhale once during that span of time. Exhale in the similar manner. Do it repeatedly until your turn comes. We breathe continuously throughout the day but we never pay attention to the sound of breath. But breath has an immense effect on your brain; it is as soothing as a mother’s voice is to a newborn.
* Relax the eyes before you go for a meeting or interview. Focus your sight on any one object for 2 minutes which will give you a sense of stillness and will harness your mind. People who can harness their mind can emanate a kind of strength which the yogis call SHAKTI. President Clinton was known to possess Shakti.
* Listen to soothing music while driving. It has the capability of producing structures for our thoughts which is the essence of meditation. Our sense of sound is also awakened by it. Our forefathers used to exploit the entire palette of senses but nowadays we use only our sense of vision or sight. The yogis say that the soul’s GPS can be engaged only by harnessing the senses.
