Occupational Health Tips
Here is how you can keep the work station from becoming a breeding ground for bacteria. The office table top is full of germs and it is more than four hundred times full of germs than the toilet seat that you have been so much worried about. The tips on disinfecting the workplace will help you to get started on cleaning. Germs spread through the touch of human hands so the things that are in contact regularly like keyboard, mouse and telephone is loaded with germs. You touch about thirty objects in a minute at the work station. So as a bathroom ritual, you don’t have to wash your hands only, but rather scrub the hands so that the motion of scrubbing can dislodge the dirt from the surface of the hands.
Once every week, you can go about wiping the work space with a natural disinfectant like baking soap and water, teatree oil or white vinegar. The cleaning products from the market are harsh for the skin, the respiratory tract and the eyes. Wheezing can happen if you are exposed to disinfectants in a much closed room. Baking Soda and White vinegar kill bacteria up to ninety per cent.
Alcohol is also a good disinfectant and if you are confined to the desk, you should get your hands disinfected before you touch anything. The mugs contain coliform bacteria which is similar to contamination through faeces. Therefore, you should keep the mugs carefully washed. Of course in some cases exposure to germs can improve the immunity of children. Sometimes kids living in the dirtiest environment make the immune system very strong. So you should not get the wipes all the time. Trying to keep the surroundings clean can give you better productivity at work too. When you try keeping the environment clean, it would also give you a deeper sense of satisfaction and keep you potentially healthy.
