Many times the complex rules of our society insist that the children should behave like an adult. Children’s joviality sometimes is regarded as nuisance or as misbehaviour by the society. These rules force the parents to punish their child.

In the public or social gatherings children often get emotionally disturbed. At the time of the emotional crisis children’s rational power gets blurred. So they start behaving in an illogical way. In this particular state even a minor thing can make him/her cry. It is the time when the child needs assistance to get out of this circumstance. You must offer your child the warmth of love and support when she/he would go through such an emotional crisis. Though society rejects children’s natural behaviours, you need to regard those behaviours as normal. You must understand your child’s emotional need.

Generally children seek more attention from the adults. When they fail to catch it, they get emotional even in the public places. If such a situation occurs, first you need to listen to your child. Listen the child problems or complaints properly and allow him/her to cry so that his/her pent up feelings may get reduced. If possible take your child to a calmer place and then talk to him/her freely. To the curious and concerned people you can say that the situation is under control.

Sometimes we do a lot of things in a hurry before going out. The child sometimes fails to communicate with his/her parents in such a situation and gets emotionally disturbed. Spend some time with your child before stepping out the home. When you are in public place with your child do not get lost in yourself. Always connect with your child. Look at his/her eyes, talk to him/her and hold your child’s hand. If you feel that anytime your child’s emotions may burst out try to make him/her laugh. Laugher will soothe his/her emotional disturbances.
