Regular Water Intake
Water is the universal solvent. Precautionary medication is the chief approach to health-care in all societies. The idol is water. Water is the prime substance and leading representative for all functions in the human body. The ‘lack of water’ in body eventually leads to disease-conditions.
The reality is, no or less water, can lead to dehydration, resulting in diseases like ‘asthma’, ‘hypertension’, ‘ulcers’, ‘arthritis’, and ‘allergies’. We know water is essential, but, how much crucial it is for us is what we fail to realize.
Regular water intake is the only way to fight dehydration related diseases. It is a vital nutrient, accounting for the bodies ‘50%-80%’ of the body weight. It is an important requirement to act as a mediator for ‘absorption’, ‘transportation’, and ‘dissolving’ nutrients and regulating the body heat. It has also been observed that, ‘temporary dizziness’, and ‘poor thirst mechanism’, can possibly be an effect of chronic, or mild-dehydration.
So, next time, when you think that you won’t drink because you are not thirsty, think twice. As it can be a reason of dehydration as well.
Studies show that a regular guideline of water for men should be 3.4 liters, and for women it is 2.8 liters.
Among the water allowance of our body, our brain takes the priority over all functions. The brain intakes around ‘1/50th’ of the total bodyweight but it receive only about 18-20 percent of the total circulated blood. Water also helps in transporting oxygen through our blood to our brain cells.
The modern lifestyle has made people dependent on synthetic juices and sodas. This is a classic example of ‘self-imposed restriction’ of the requirements of human body. Because, these synthetic products does not subsidize to water, they contain dehydrating agents, which dehydrate the body more.
We should remember that water is a universal solvent, which should be respected and the daily intake of water should be monitored regularly for the betterment of health.
