At home, getting a facial done is quite trouble-free. The process requires only three fundamental steps to be followed.  They are cleansing, moisturizing and toning. Further steps such as steaming, exfoliating and masking can also be included. Given below are the summary of the steps mentioned above including a few recommended guidelines for you to check out.

To get your face cleaned, it is better if you can give yourself a mild steam treatment. For doing this treatment you will first have to take a bowl of hot herbal tea( one of my preferred ones is chamomile)  and then immerse a soft towel in it. In this way it helps your skin pores to open up before using a soft cleanser to cleanse it. Squeeze the towel and put it all over your face and neck region. Leave it in that manner until it cools. This process being quite comforting, you may repeat it if you like.

Find serenity by preparing a mild cleanser for cleansing your face, for example, a Rose Cream Cleanser (given below is the procedure to make it). After you prepare it, apply it on your skin.

Massage it in upward clockwise motion using your fingertips. In this way, the skin is stimulated and the skin wastes and extra oil are raised.  Wash with lukewarm water and tenderly brush off the additional moisture with a smooth towel. This process needs to be repeated if you apply heavy make-up.

Toning of the skin is very important after you cleanse your face. The cleansing process quite often disturbs the skin’s pH balance. Hence use ingredients which help to maintain the pH balance. The Tone-Up Tea recipe is brilliant for most of the skin-types. It has an anti-oxidant as green tea and aloe to appease. Prevent rubbing your skin while you are applying the toner using a smooth cotton pad.  Instead soak the pad and slap the toner lightly on your skin and neck region. Be careful of the skin from drying. Don’t be troubled if you smell the cide vinegar’s fragrance as it vanishes instantly. The skin’s pH balance can be best maintained by Apple cider vinegar, which is the finest natural element. While you use this toner keep away from the eye area. Now you can moisturize your skin.

To increase the moisture and nutrient content in your skin, apply Aromatic Facial Oil which has a lot of comforting ingredients. The skin becomes damp after the toner is applied. Apply oil to retain the moisture. In slight tapping motions smoothly put on the oil to your skin and neck region. Applying oil only once in oily regions and twice in the dry regions of the skin will be sufficient. In between the applications wait for about 2-3 minutes. Remember to humidify the skin with either water or the toner before you apply the oil.

Occasionally you might want to include in your treatment a gentle exfoliation and mask. Apart from trying out the above mentioned methods, using suitable ingredients, you can also prepare it yourself. Exfoliation is useful for people who have oily skin and can be done more than once a week. For people with dry skin, exfoliation done once in a month will suffice.
