If you have to shed off a few pounds in this festive season here are a few tips. Christmas is a couple of months away and who would not like to dress up in her best dress to feel fabulous? But losing weight is not magic and you need to make consistent changes to lose weight. If you can make a few changes in your life style and also in what you eat, you can lose weight fast and hassle free.

A fizzy drink that has no nutrition and a lot of calories should be stopped immediately. You can take a brisk walk for fifteen minutes in a day, twice. Air popped popcorn is much better than crisps and change from crisps to popcorns will help you lose at least half a pound in a month. You can switch over to baby carrots and lose half a pound more. Instead of the regular burger that you usually take, you can take a burger that is junior sized and some salad for side dish. The junior size is quite satisfying for more people and filling too. The junior has 400 calories against the 700 calories for the regular one. You can save 390 calories for one burger and you can drop a lot of fat by this small change.

You can climb up on the bike and start pedaling. This way only be pedaling you can burn around 200 calories. You can do this exercise 5 evenings in a week. Washing your own car would help to shed off a lot of weight.

You can switch from full fat milk to semi skimmed milk. If you add butter to your bread switch over to butters with lower fats. Be careful not to buy any trans fats. You would be saving 75 calories per spoon. Even ice creams with lower fats are great. Instead of fried chicken, though it tastes yummy, change over to grilled chicken. It is these small stuffs that add the calories up. So if these changes can be brought about, the calories would be reduced and it would be easier to shed a few pounds.
