Skin Diseases in Monsoon
Monsoon is one of the worst seasons as far as the skin is concerned. The presence of the high humidity in the air is considered as favorable for most of the microbes like fungus and bacteria. Not only that most of the times in the monsoon there is a high possibility of infection that is contaminated through the contact with stagnant water, puddle, rain water etc. It is particularly necessary to take good care of the skin in the monsoon as in this time the skin becomes exceptionally susceptible to skin infections. What are the skin infections and how can you deal with it has been detailed in this discussion:
Fungus Infection:
This is the very common cause of skin infection in the monsoon. Fungus is basically a skin parasite that derives nutrients from the skin causing itching and irritation mainly along with unsightly looks. They can survive extreme conditions and hence are very difficult to get rid of. They are responsible for causing skin rashes and itching. They may appear in the form of white scars in between fingers and on the palm of the hand if you remain exposed to water in the monsoon. Ringworm another type of fungus causes a special type of skin infection in shape of a ring on the skin and they are highly infectious.
Bacterial Infection:
Bacteria is another parasite that can cause severe skin infection during the monsoon. Often you will see black spots on the skin that are very itchy. Not only that another type of rashes resembling large sized prickly heat are also caused by bacteria.
Solution:
Cleanliness is the best possible way to get rid of these problems. Antiseptic soaps and liquids are proven solutions for the troubles of the monsoon. Chemicals like Cetrimide, Chlorhexidine Gluconate are equally effective against such attacks.
