Treat Heat Rash:
Hot particularly when it is made worse by humidity is the worst condition for the skin. Among the several skin problems that are caused due to this is the heat rash or popularly known as prickly heat. It is one of the most persistent problems of the skin and more or less 80 percent men suffer from this in the summer. It happens when the sweat is trapped in the sweat glands and cannot escape and evaporate. The area becomes reddish with dots and it creates severe irritating itching. It is very common and the cure is also very ordinary but one has to take care of the skin and do it regularly.
Prevention is better than cure:
So we all know about it. Prevention is better than cure and if you follow some simple yet easy steps then you will surely be able to keep heat rashes at bay. Always in summer wear light clothing. Nylon, polyester, are a sure no no. Always wash the cloth with mild detergent and then dip them in a water mixed with any strong anti septic liquid and try to avoid the heat and sun as much as you an. Particularly those of you who have bulky figures should stay out of the sun otherwise heat rash is inevitable.
The Right Cure:
However if you have heat rash do not panic. Wash the area with a gentle soap and pat dry. Do not irritate the skin further. To get rid of the itch use calamine cream or over the counter cetaphil moisturising lotion or medicine containing dimethicone. Natural remedy is the best. You can add 1 cup baking soda in a bucket of water and have a bath in it. You can also grind 1 cup of oatmeal and then add it to bath water. Soak in for 15 minutes. It will greatly relieve your itching.
