Some Of The Things That Keep You Going In Your Pregnancy
If you are pregnant, and if you are feeling life has come to a standstill for you, you are thoroughly mistaken. Who said you cannot swim if you are carrying your baby? Just ask your Ob-Gyn and jump into the placid blue pool water for a refreshing dip. You can move your legs and arms in the water if not swim fully. That is no risk to the newborn and I bet you would like it as much as your baby would. The baby feels elated if the mother is happy after all.
Many women feel that a visit to the dentist would mean the use of anesthesia and that is a harmful effect on the baby inside. But seldom do they know that it is the best time to take care of the teeth as tooth decay and caries can harm and sometimes cause preterm labor. You might be advised for an approval from the Ob-gyn. Some anesthetics are safe to use and they can be sued without a question.
If you are healthy during pregnancy, you can run, jog and that is good for you in all aspects. Of course if you have physical problems like shortness of breath, dizziness, lightheadedness and bleeding, you can have a word with the doctor straight away.
When you travel by plane, you need to consider safety and also comfort. For pregnant women, flying is usually safe, but if you are immobile for a long stretch of time, that can cause a blood clot, so you have to move for sometime walk up and down the aisle, every hour. But if you are having a risk of preterm labor, then you should not get on the plane.
Soft cheeses are great for women and especially mozzarella cheese made out of pasteurized milk is good for all pregnant women too. And more importantly, it is not a ban for a pregnant woman to have sex! It is perfect to have it in the second trimester but then again talk to your ob-gyn first.
