Some serious problems during pregnancy
Some women face more serious problems than others during the period of pregnancy. Some of the most common ones are piles and morning sickness. Getting medical help is the best way to affect your baby. Make sure that you consult your GP or the midwife in case of any such problem.
High blood pressure is a serious problem during pregnancy. It should be checked at every appointment with the gynecologist. This can trigger off eclampsia so it is very important that you check this regularly. Pre Eclampsia has no symptoms specifically but some women may experience headaches, swelling in the wrists and ankles, abdominal pain and disturbances in vision. Pre eclampsia can develop in to a serious condition called eclampsia which is a dangerous situation for the baby and the mom. So, with these symptoms taking place you can go and see the doctor immediately. In such conditions you would need complete rest, sometimes even at the maternity clinic where you can be diagnosed. You may be given medication for lowering the blood pressure.
