The Best Way to Potty Train
January 19, 2009
A child is compared with the potter’s clay as it is quite easy to make anything out of a child; I am talking about the habits of the child which keeps on changing from time to time. Whatever you try to train a child in, you can do it quite easily. The reason behind this is that a child shows a very good tendency to learn anything as he is a very good learner.
Potty training is an important part of the child training as it is one of the daily activities of every human being. I strongly feel that no training procedure is best and final as it varies from parents to parents and also from child to child. You may one training process effective for one child but it is also possible that the same process results in a failure for another child. After all it depends upon you how you train your child for this.
From time to time, the US government publication publishes guidelines for different training procedures. But what I strongly believe is that a child learns everything from the laborious efforts that his parents put behind him. It is also very true that with the growth in his intellect and his body, a child learns how to control his bowels and other such activities.
Different case studies of psychoanalysis show that excessive habit of parenting messes out everything and because of excessive intervention your child does not get the habit of self-dependence. The most important thing that the parents are supposed to do is to support and encourage their child in the best possible manner. The most important thing about self-learning is that your child remembers what he has learnt. It is always good and desirable not to force your child doing anything.
You must always remember that the techniques are only techniques and your child is not a machine. Try to spend some time with your little one and you will be surprised to notice the in born intellect that your child has. You need not train him anything as he knows everything and it is only a matter of time when he tries to execute his knowledge into real practice.
