The Usefulness of Caffeine
A cup of coffee in the morning makes our day. Most of us have noticed the magical effect of the caffeine on our blue mood. But many of us are ignorant of the fact that the caffeine is skin friendly and prevents the skin cancer too. A recent issue of the Journal of Investigative Dermatology draws our attention to this beneficial side of the caffeine.
Now a days caffeine is also used as an important element in the topical products because it efficiently tightens the blood vessels. These topical products help to reduce the redness of the skin. Larger and open blood vessels often loose their power of constriction and causes rosacea, on which caffeine has a good effect. The products like La Roche Posay Rosaliac or Topix Replenix CF Anti-Photoaging Complex SPF 45 mix caffeine with other antioxidants and also with sunscreen to cure the facial flushing. Both these products have the anti-inflammatory effect and for this reason they very effectively work on rosacea.
Eye creams like MD Formulations Moisture Defense Antioxidant Eye Crème, which reduces flushings uses caffeine because of its power of tightening the blood vessels. A survey on 93000 women has shown that the consumption of caffeine minimizes the risk of the skin cancer.
Caffeine can be taken either through the food or through the cosmetics. Well known experts use Replenix CF cream with caffeine for a better skin.
But before taking caffeine you need to be a bit careful. Caffeine does not hydrate the body and you need to drink a lot of water to get rid of its dehydrated effect. If you suffer from redness and puffiness of the skin you need to remember that hot drinks increase the flushing. So whenever you feel to have a cup of coffee, go for the cold one.
