The working moms’ anxieties
Mothers who have to go to work often share a very anxious and even over anxious relationship with the kids. If you are a parent you must realise that you would have to leave the child to be on his own at some point in his life. This can start at a very early age. So if you have to leave the child when he is a baby, you must be composed and relaxed. You can start with leaving the child with a friend or a relative for some sleepover before sending him to the nursery.
If you have had that practice before she gets going to nursery then the leaving is not so full of anxiety as in the case of children who have never been left anywhere by their parents. When you decide to go back to work, you should not get emotional in front of the children. You must not infuse the sense of anxiety in your children. It is difficult to cope with the first day the child goes to school, the first day he goes on school camps or the first day he goes alone on bus. If you have tears in your eyes, it is even more difficult for the child to cope and for the nursery staff to manage him.
In the past, you had the parents to care for. They picked you up from school, they put you to bed and kissed you good bye. You felt great as they loved you. Therefore it is very essential that you have your emotions and love balanced towards the kids. This would help them to grow up to be responsible individuals. The children sent to nursery become flexible and adaptable. That is the best thing and the most positive thing about nursery. Therefore, as long as we have a consistent relationship with the children, they can be positive and thrive well in the nursery.
