In this era where a woman needs to tackle her home, kids and office with equal efficiency, it becomes increasingly challenging for her to be patient with the situation around. If you fall into the same category and at times feel like cursing yourself for the present plight, here we present a few tips which will help you to deal with such daily messy problems.

COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS

Often small things in life give us unfathomable joy. When you are bogged down with problems and feel as if life is a burden, do not transfer your dissatisfaction to your family by railing at your partner and children. Instead, try to make a list of 20 small things which has given you happiness, for example the warm hug your child gave you while leaving for school. Maintain this Gratitude Diary for at least 2 weeks. It will help you to be positive even in extremely negative circumstances.

COMMUNITY BUILDING

In case you are looking for volunteers to help you in baby-sitting and other activities, log on to sites like netmums.com. Some organizations also serve such purposes, for example The National Childbirth Trust. You can also start your own community with like minded women. You can even talk to such moms on online forums and gather much information.

TIME FOR YOURSELF

Do not lose your self-identity while serving others. Devote time for yourself. It will make you happy and in turn will keep your kids happy too.

SLOWER

Stop trying multitasking. It makes you tired and lessens your efficiency. Though you feel that time is saved, the quality of work suffers. Do one thing at a time.

BE ACTIVE

Healthy mind, body and spirit are imperative for a cheerful life. Exercise and meditation for a few minutes daily will help you to run after your super-energetic kids without fretting.
