Love is one the most sacred and precious feelings on earth. Very few people are lucky enough to get love in return. If you happen to be among those lucky few, then try and keep this feeling alive for as long as possible. In today’s world, everyone is on a go. Living away from home due to work or education is an ordinary phenomenon. In many cases, your beloved might have to stay away from you. However, that does not mean that your long distance relationship will not last. You have to take a little extra care to nurture it and see it grow.

Any relationship needs to be based on trust. In case you happen to be in a long distance relationship, the trust needs to be even more. Remember, you would not get to see your beloved for months. It is only trust that will keep the love alive. Without trust, your relationship will succumb in a few months.

Keep yourself regularly updated about each other. It is important to keep in touch on a daily basis. Try and contact each other every day. Share small things that have happened throughout the day.

Make use of technological advancements like email, web camera, Skype, texting and so on. These will help both of you to keep in touch without incurring huge expense.

Share hobbies, if possible. This will serve as a common ground and bring both of you closer. For example, both of you can watch the same movie separately and then discuss about it. This will bring a feeling of togetherness among both of you.

Do the same thing at the same time. If possible, read the same book at the same time, watch the same play or catch the same soap on television. This will increase the bonding.

Lastly, when together, spend quality time with each other in order to make up for the lost time.
