We, humans have forgotten the natural power of healing, by the pressure of society around us and the predetermined ideas we have developed from the growing years. However, it cannot be neglected, that the proper connectivity of our body and mind is the best medicine nature has bestowed us with.

Doctors and medical researchers globally however, have come to terms with the fact of healing through the connectivity of mind and body. Our time has come to finally take the Vedas seriously and going back to our roots when our predecessors used to connect to the healing power of their body.

Human body is a marvel of technology, it’s a machine of flesh and blood governed by the mind. If we can properly learn to respect its power and understand its healing nature, we can save ourselves from lot of trouble.

For example, whenever we have a sprain or strain, our immediate reaction is to take painkillers, massage with ointments, and want a fast revival. However, if we can just give the weak area some good amount of rest with bandaging it and keeping it in place and keeping it warm, and wait for the body to take control, it will eventually get healed with much less of a trouble.

To fight one of the commonest diseases of life-‘obesity’, medical researchers are no longer looking towards ‘fat-reducing’ or ‘hunger-suppressant’ drugs. Instead, they are focusing on the ‘mind-drugs’, which will make our minds believe that we are ‘working-out’, which will automatically give the body almost the same kind of effect as a rigorous exercise session will. This is a classic example of reconnecting to the healing power of our body.

Now, a question can arise, that- what if the connection was already broken? We have to focus on our basic attitudes towards our body. For example, if we are properly connected, then we will have certain beliefs:

1. We have respect and trust towards our body. Which, in the ‘state of disconnection’ is not present, and the body is imagined as static, and a focus of continuous external threats, and can betray us by failure.

2. We trust on our ‘inner-healing’, and have the ability to help it heal us better. Reversibly, in a disconnected state, we get confused and alarmed, resulting the body being completely isolated, and prone to external attacks.

3. We realize the different states of emotion, and the means to control them, because we realize that the different emotional conditions are just not psychological but also have strong physical results. Each incident in our mind is matched with an equivalent incident in the body. Whereas, when disconnected, the mind and body has no relation to each other, they don’t speak to each other.

Once, we begin trusting our body, and listening to it, an eternal relationship gets established with trust and regards in adverse to anxiety and mistrust.
