The world is changing fast and we are changing faster. Our habits and fashion are changing even faster than we are. Our requirements are also changing their shapes and quality.

The beauty treatment, which forms the complete woman today, is getting redefined each and every moment. The women of today are trying to new measures for increasing their beauty and glamour. The companies, those are busy making cosmetics for the skincare and other beauty ailments, are also finding new products to enhance their business. You may new and very strange looking ads everyday on the media. All of them use artificial slogans to impress their customers.

At present three kinds of cosmetics hybrids are often seen or found on display in different salons or cosmetic shops. They may have silly names but their marketing procedure is very prolific and these products are very well known. Here’s a quick introduction to help you keep your hybrids instantly:

Cosmeticeuticals:

As the name suggests, ‘Cosmeticeuticals are a combination of cosmetic and pharmaceutical.’ Renowned beauty specialist Merriam-Webster affirms that it is actually a range of beauty products that uses both cosmetics and pharmaceuticals. It has property as well as goodness of both cosmetics and pharmaceuticals. We can consider ourselves fortunate to get such a range of products that gives us the benefit and protection of cosmetics and medicines.

Dr. Albert Kligman, a well-known professor of dermatology at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine solemnly affirms the same idea. He says that these products have drug-like benefits like anti-aging creams and moisturizers. The Saka range of creams, cosmetics and ointments are the examples of cosmeceuticals.

Nutraceuticals:

The term ‘Nutraceuticals’ stands for any substance that is a food or part of food that provides medical and health benefits. Initially these cosmetics products were not taken as hybrids but now they are the part of the growing cosmetic industry. These cosmetics are derived from the food extracts that have some medicinal values. These cosmetic preparations are found in the form of capsules or tablets with the prescribed dosage (in milligrams). Due to their quality of curing the cosmetic ailments, these Nutraceuticals are called ‘Super foods’.

Nutricosmetics:

This new concept of beauty treatment has been found very effective for weight loss, to fight sun exposure or to minimize the effects of aging. These products are actually antioxidants and are sold in jam packed jars. These medicines are also taken orally and are very effective indeed.

If the same trend continues, we can expect to listen to even sillier names in the future. Who can say that in some days from now, we can have products with names like veggie-ceuticals or cosmetifoodicals?
