If you are a person who cannot put s full stop to after-dinner eating, here is what you can go through. Do you feel you are not satisfied even after you have had dried fruit, a full tub of yoghurt, a banana and two apples, then probably you are getting deprived of fat. If you do not get sufficient fat, your stomach would not create any more stop eating hormones. Actually when the stop eating hormones are given out they make you feel satisfied after a diet. What you can do is, add a few drops of cream, or butter to food and finish your food with a dash of cheese and then help your self to a scoop of your favorite ice cream.

If you have a disruption in the sleep cycles, then the hormone levels in blood would get altered and that can control the hunger. You have to prepare some wholesome food if you are staying awake at work in the night. If you have tempting lollies to eat at the workplace you can replace that with nuts or fruits.

There are certain things like kilojoules that you need to maintain your weight. If you are feeling hungry you need kilojoules and if you are not feeling like having food, you do not need it. Hunger is dependent on menstrual cycles also. So now if you feel that sudden craving for food in the middle of the night while at work or if you wake up and suddenly feel hungry, you know what to do. If adding some more fat to your dinner menu does not solve the problem, go and visit the GP. Perhaps he may be able to show you some way out of this sudden craving at night. In many cases, craving for food has also some deep rooted psychological reasons that you need to explore. It is essential that you go for a consultation in some cases.
