Women’s Vitamins

Women need to have vitamins at the different stages in her life. There are vitamins for the pregnant women, the menopausal women as well as the active woman. These are multi vitamins as well as supplements. About 7 per cent of American women get the supplements in the food they take in. But many of them are so busy with the kids’ activities and in juggling jobs that they often do not take the correct food. American women eat diets that are unhealthy and they often consume fast food with zero nutritional value.

The women’s vitamins can be found on the online stores as well as the local drug stores. Some of them contain iron while others do not. Different vitamins contain supplements in different percentages.
Multivitamins contain Vitamin A which has many uses and these are very good for eyesight. Vitamin A can be found in carrots. Women’s vitamins that have vitamin A in them supply around fifty per cent of the dosage everyday. Vitamin C is also found in these multivitamin supplements and this is a powerful antioxidant that prevents cancer and colds. Vitamin D promotes strong teeth and bones and the multi vitamins for women will contain 100 percent of Vitamin D needed daily. Women should also be concerned about the disease called osteoporosis in the old age and many women’s vitamins would also have calcium added to these multivitamin tablets. Iron is also a very necessary constituent and women need to consume more iron. The percentage of iron for active women in the multivitamin tablets would be 100 per cent of the dosage that is recommended.

Zinc is also a very important supplement and it is very much necessary for women. The women’s multivitamins contain Zinc. The other vitamins that are included in women’s multivitamins are Thiamins and Viamin B1. These help to ward off many diseases. These are also found in fresh food. There is not much fresh food that is available nowadays so that women would not be getting the dosage from the fresh food. Vitamin B6, Folic Acid, Vitamin B12 and Riboflavin are some other important vitamins that are available in the women’s vitamin supplement. Therefore, it is important that she takes her daily dose of multivitamin tablets.
