Pregnancy period is probably the most sophisticated as well as the most risky days for a woman. A mother-to-be needs to take certain cautionary measures to protect her from many infections that are very common these days. These infections are very dangerous for the health of the child present in the womb of the lady.
You must know and follow it very seriously that a mother-to-be must not clean the stool of a cat as it contains toxoplasmosis in it. It is very harmful parasite that can change its place to the womb of the woman. It can cause serious effects on the fetal conditions and raise a question mark on its existence.
The cats get infected with toxoplasmosis while eating the bodies of the dead animals which are already infected with this fatal parasite. If human beings, especially, the women, get ingested to this parasite very easily and cause severe threat to the healthy growth of child.
It is noticed that a cat that always remains inside the doors and never goes outside has less risk of getting infected with toxoplasmosis. It is not safe for a pregnant woman to touch or clean the feces of a cat with naked hand. It is best to avoid the situation like this even if it arises. But if comes to as an unavoidable condition, then clean the feces of your cat wearing a pair of gloves in your hands. You must wash your hands properly with soap and water immediately after cleaning the feces of the cat.
It must be noted that toxoplasmosis is caused to the humans through unclean vegetables. If the vegetables are not washed properly, then the parasites are transmitted to the raw foods. You must have the habit of washing your hands again and again after anything you do, cooking food at the recommended temperature etc. are good and safe habits from saving yourself from toxoplasmosis.
