Your Toddler’s Sleep Time
The babies in the age group of 0 to 6 months have longer sleeping schedules and they have the tendency to sleep in the most part of the day. During this period, they sleep nearly 18 hours. With the increase in their age, they become more concentrative towards other activities as well other than just eating and sleeping. At that stage it becomes difficult for you get him sleep even for a few hours in the daytime.
At this point of time, you need to think otherwise to manage your toddlers to sleep for a few hours. The play schools or the crèche are the best possible alternatives for you to avail. They regularize the timings for every activity for the child. Initially it is difficult to bring a routine in the daily life of the child. The toddlers are fast learners of everything. They try to learn every new change in a better and faster manner.
The nursery kids are very confident in this and they have a readiness to learn and to adapt themselves in the new system if they start to have a liking towards their new schedule of daily life. You are advised to not to force anything on him. You have to give them the opportunity to learn everything by themselves. You just need to take care of the things to see that everything is going good.
In the initial days, you will find it difficult to handle him after he gets up from his bed and delays or shows unwillingness to take milk or breakfast. You have to ensure to feed them with at least some solid food and a glass of milk before sending them to the school. Try to inspire him by showing the other children doing their work easily and willingly. This will automatically increase the habit of doing everything by himself.
For your better convenience, prepare a time table for you and for your child and try to inspire your child to follow it regularly without making any fuss. Try to provide him some fun games which he likes very much. This will help him grow a good understanding with you and also with himself.
