Take the juice of one lemon, add a pinch of salt and a pinch of pepper and mix with a glass of warm water. Sip some and gargle with this concoction several times in the day. Lemon juice can also be added to a cup of hot tea or to normal drinking water. As lemon juice has acidic content, it helps in destroying the bacteria also.
Eucalyptus oil helps in treating all cold related problems. In the case of laryngitis, inhaling the steam of eucalyptus oil will help you get relief. Fill a bucket to half its capacity with boiling water. Add a few drops of eucalyptus oil to this water. Now cover your head with a towel and inhale the steam for atleast 5 to 10 minutes.
