Tea Tree Oil
Lice tend to breathe with the cavities on their bodies. They can live without breathing for about 8 hours and the point of using tea tree oil is to suffocate them. Apply lots of oil on the entire scalp and the hair shaft and leave it on for more than 8 hours or you can leave it overnight as well.
The lice will surely suffocate by the time your kid wakes up in the morning and then you can wash off the hair with an anti-lice shampoo.
It is the most common and traditional method of clearing out lice. Apply tea tree oil to a particular section of hair and comb it out using a fine toothed comb. Try to clear out all the lice eggs which are present on the hair shaft.
Do this treatment three times a day for the first week and then every night for the second week. By the second week, you’ll find that the lice are all gone. Make sure you clean the comb each time you use it.
Apple Cider Vinegar
It creates a very difficult atmosphere for the lice to survive and does not damage your hair so you can use apple cider vinegar on your hair as the treatment for lice.
Rinse your hair with apple cider vinegar after shampooing every time. You can also repeat the procedure with the nit comb after rinsing with apple cider vinegar.
Garlic has anti bacterial properties. Take about 8 cloves of garlic and add a few drops of lime juice. Make it into a paste and apply it on your hair for about one hour. You can then wash it away with shampoo or just rinse with some vinegar.
For this, you must mix a few drops of tea tree oil, neem oil, eucalyptus oil and lavender oil. All these together have anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties which will kill parasites like lice in your hair.
After performing the rinsing with apple cider vinegar allow your hair to dry and then apply the mixture of these oils. Leave it overnight and wash it off with an anti-lice shampoo in the morning.
