This pack has to be applied on to the hair and covered with a shower cap. Another source of natural cure for dry hair is oil. Healthy hair is always maintained with regular application of oil. It works better if it is applied after warming it. Both olive oil and coconut oil are equally good and works best if left on overnight. To rehydrate the hair and bring back the shine one can use a combination of regular oil with two to three drops of safflower oil and rub it off well on to the scalp.

After leaving it on for a couple of hours, the hair can be washed well with a normal shampoo. Hot towel application is another treatment for repairing damaged hair. One can first massage the scalp with any regular oil and then wrap the head with a damp and warm towel; the hot air trapped in the towel provides sound conditioning to the hair.
