Have a varied diet high in iron, generally vegetarian diets are low in iron as compared to non vegetarian diets, but that can be overcome with a little bit if care. Grains which are high in iron should be soaked in warm water for eight to ten hours before cooking to reduce their phytic acid content before using as food for maximum iron absorption.
Have plenty of fruits and vegetables, though they themselves do not top the list of iron rich food sources they contain Vitamin C which enhances the absorption of iron. Iron is absorbed more efficiently by the body from meat and fish. Meats eaten in small amounts increase the overall absorption of iron by the body. Avoid taking antacid in high doses and certain medication which reduce the amount of iron absorbed.
Restless leg is calmed by movement of legs that is basically movement brings relief so indulge in an activity which involves movement. You may walk, stretch or do any light exercises daily even on days you do not have a restless leg.People who lead a sedentary lifestyle have benefited with regular walking.
