Garlic is famous for its antimicrobial and antiseptic qualities. Garlic is not only useful for the treatment of red acne but also cures other health problems. Take 2-3 garlic cloves and crush them. Rub the crushed garlic on the acnes and leave them there so that they dry up.
If you are not comfortable with the idea of crushing garlic, you can use garlic oil as a replacement. Make sure of washing your face afterwards properly, else, you will stink of garlic all day.
Lemon juice is also an antiseptic and is used widely for the treatment of many skin diseases. Prepare a solution containing 2 tbsp of lemon juice with 2-3 teaspoons of rose water. Apply this mixture evenly on the affected area and keep it for 30-40 minutes.
Then rinse off your face with water and pat dry. Repeat this procedure once daily for a few weeks. This remedy takes time but is very effective and even rejuvenates your skin making it smooth and soft.
Aloe Vera is another herb best known for its therapeutic values. Cut an aloe vera leaf from the middle longitudinally. Scoop the gel out and apply it over the affected area. You can also keep the gel in refrigerator for a few hours and apply the chilled gel to have a soothing effect.
Aloe Vera not only reduces the pain and redness but also heals your skin and reduces the scars as well. Apply aloe vera gel twice daily for a few weeks for healing red acne completely.
Methanol is an analgesic and a natural anti-inflammatory agent. Peppermint contains methanol and hence is very effective for treating red acne. Take a few peppermints and grind and crush them. Apply this juice on the affected area and let it dry for few minutes.
Later, wash it off using cold water. This will reduce the pain, redness and inflammation. Repeat this procedure twice every day for about a week for observing noticeable changes. If you feel any kind of irritation, do not reuse peppermint.
Tea Tree Oil Or Fenugreek
Tea tree oil is also an antiseptic that fights bacteria and other microbes. Apply tea tree on the affected area 3-4 times on a daily basis. It might irritate your skin a little, but will heal your skin by removing the damaged cells and fighting the infections. Another remedy involves the use of fenugreek. Prepare a paste of a few fresh fenugreek leaves and water. Apply this paste on the red acnes and let it stay for 15-20 minutes before rinsing them off with water.
Your diet should be vitamin enriched and avoid eating junk food and drinking alcohol. Other herbs used to treat red acne include neem and even orange peel. Honey is also used sometimes to fight away the red acne.
