Easy Home Remedies For Minor Burns

Honey

Honey is an effective ingredient for curing minor burns. It has the property to draw out fluids from the tissues and hence proves effective in cleaning the wound. On the burnt area, either directly apply a layer of honey or put a generous amount of honey on the inner side of a cotton gauze and put the gauze loosely on the wound.

Change the gauze 3-4 times in a day. The inner side of gauze where honey is applied should face the wound. The pain will subside within a few hours.

Tea Bags

Tea contains tannic acid. The acid draws heat away from the burnt area. Just soak a tea bag with little warm water. As the tea bag cools, put it on the burnt skin. Alternatively, you can also make a concoction of 2-3 tea bags and mint leaves. Mint has a cooling effect on the skin.

In boiling water, put 2 tea bags and a few twigs of mint leaves. Let the water boil for some time. Now strain the liquid and let it cool. With the help of a cotton wool, this concoction can be applied on the burnt skin many times a day.
