Most moles that you see on the face or other parts of the body, are small in size and you need not worry about them. The methods of getting rid of moles range from surgical procedures to use of ointments. Again, it should be remembered that if not needed, do not get rid of the mole because it can lead to inflammation and redness for a while. Here are some simple and effective remedies that can help you to get rid of a mole.

Ways To Get Rid Of A Mole

Excision

A surgical procedure, which is usually minor in nature, can be done using supervision or guidance from a doctor. Basically this is indeed the safest way to get rid of the mole since you don’t have to be worried about the same being cancerous. Surgery may be done using excision with cauterization.

In this process, the mole is either shaved off at the level of the skin or using a bit of the skin, which is then cauterized. Then there is also the excision process done using stitches, where the mole is cut off and then the wound is sealed. The recovery process may take a few weeks or even months depending on the treatment.

Invasive Surgery

This process is also called serial excision and though this scenario doesn’t occur much, there is a chance that you can get moles up to 4 inches big. These are not common and as per survey only 0.00005% people from the global population is affected by this. In this process the nevus needs to be removed from the entire lot of cells. This also leaves a big scar, which requires stitching and the graft done is very fragile. Special care is needed and only experts should handle such cases.

Laser And Cryosurgery

In this cryosurgery process, a liquid form of nitrogen is used for getting rid of the mole and eliminating the tissues that is causing the mole. In some extreme cases, a deeper cut or incision may be needed and this is usually done prior to the operation. There is a bit of pain involved during the process, which may also stay for weeks later on. But again, it is vital to get this done from trained professionals.

Another safe remedy involved here is laser surgery, which has become immensely popular in recent times. The reason being that this process is very safe, there is no risk of scarring and also you can get it done within a few hours if not minutes. In this process, the damage to the cells is also minimal and the tissues surrounding the cells are not destroyed. But the drawback here is that the cells, which have penetrated deep inside are not removed through this procedure.

Acid Removal

This is one of the riskier methods involved in getting rid of a mole but thanks to advanced medicated creams, you really don’t have to use acid in raw forms. Basically in this process, there is no invasive surgery required. All that you have to do is take a medicated cream, which has either glycolic or salicylic acid for destroying the related tissues. It should be remembered that peel away creams or packs with the same are recommended. This effective procedure is time consuming, but you will get positive results in about 6-8 weeks.

Apple Cider Vinegar

A quick home remedy that can work wonders here would be apple cider vinegar and it is indeed safe. It has been seen that vinegar may be used for getting rid of moles, depending on the kind of skin you have. Those with sensitive skin layers may need diluting, while those with regular skin may use the vinegar directly. In this case, you have to clean the layers of the skin first with either soap or face wash, for getting rid of the dust and excessive oil.

After this, you have to apply vinegar using a cotton ball or even clean cloth. Apply the same on the moles. Then take a bandage or a similar aid that will be pasted against the skin. Let it stay overnight. This treatment would need about a week but with regular application, at least once a day, you will be able to get rid of the mole. Remember that don’t itch or peel the mole forcefully, with a bit of time, it will come out on its own.

A simple and effectual home remedy for treating moles is using garlic. Simply chop or make a paste of a few garlic cloves. Then take a clean muslin cloth and then press the garlic against the mole for a few hours. Even medical aids like bandage can be used in this reference. This process should be done twice a day for about 1-2 hours. The elements in garlic help to get rid of the mole naturally. Remember to let the mole dry completely, which happens with regular garlic application. Do not scrub or pull it as it can lead to permanent marks.

Electrocautery Or Hyfrecators

In this technique, the surgeon would use a scalpel for shaving the mole off. What is different here is that the tissue, which had caused the melanin deformity is also erased in the process. Electrical needles are used here and though the process is relatively safe, one may suffer from scars too.
