Ways To Give Good Massage Without Oil

Lotion

A good body lotion is a great substitute for oil and works equally well, without the greasiness of oil. Basically, you can use a lotion as per your skin type say shea butter for dry skin, aloe vera for oily skin and tea tree oil based lotions for oily skin.

The techniques of the massage remain constant but these lotions act as a great lubricant, which helps to nourish the skin like oils, without any side effects.

Wine

There is nothing like a bottle of good oil wine but did you know that wine is one of the best options that one can use for massages.

Red wine is another lubricant that is beneficial for the skin and helps in replenishing and rejuvenating the epidermis. Red wine can be taken on its own or even with some sea salt to exfoliate the skin too.

Oatmeal And Milk

Oatmeal and milk can be combined to give a good massage too. You can take rolled oats and just churn them in the mixer. Next add milk to it along with a bit of cream if you want.

Then scrub the body with it, using massaging strokes. Let the same stay on the body for at least 20 minutes and then take a bath. The oatmeal with milk is a good lubricant that helps in getting the right massage strokes and nourishes the skin without oil.

Fruit Puree

If you don’t want to use oil then take the puree of fruits like avocado and ripe papaya, both of which nourish the skin and also work as a lubricant. The puree can be made adding some other fruits like lemon, orange or even lime juice to avoid making it too greasy but ensuring enough nourishment.

Again, post the massage let the puree or pack stay for a while. Peels of fruit like dried orange peels which are powdered can be used here.

Almonds

Soak almonds overnight and the next day simply churn them in the processor. Almond has natural moisturizing agents and you can combine the mixture with milk or even thick cream, because both work as great lubricants for a massage to ensure easier movements of the hands.

They also scrub the body along with nourishing it, which helps in exfoliation, while moisturizing the skin.
